Recently that games industry has come under fire for it portrayal, or lack thereof, of women and minorities in video games. How do you feel about the current standard of these groups in games? Has this problem gotten better, worse, or stayed the same? What are some examples of both? What are some ways that game developers could change this? How could we, the community, change it? What do we hope the future holds for this issue?”

How about them video games folks? We sure do love them down here at LevelSave. We love them so much that we talked about them in all sorts of ways. Those ways include-

-Now Playing- Barry Taryn, and myself discuss what we are playing right now.

-News- Taryn, James, and myself gather to discuss the PS4 and what impact it could have on the game space. Also some Mass Effect 3 news.

-Reflection- Austin, Kenny, and myself gather round the Save Crystal to dig into DRM with this question(s)- “Always on DRM in consoles. Rumors indicate that it could be present in the next Xbox. Is this possible? What about the PS4? What kind of DRM would we be OK with? Since piracy on the current consoles is not "much" of a problem what do we think the purpose of DRM is? Could this possibly promote piracy as opposed to stamp out used games? Is there anything we as gamers could do to combat this?”

-EA and Greedium- James Pope and myself have a one on one to really hash out why we disagree on microtransactions in videogames.

At the end of the show I used the term 'non-licensed” to describe the music in the show. What I meant by this is that all “licensed” music, that is, 90% of the music used underneath the tracks when talking about a particular game, is owned by the copyright owner and s used under the fair use law, wit the majority of that enforced by the fact that we make no money off this podcast. The other 10% of the music is released under a Creative Commons/ Attribution license and is cited below.

Hey guys and gals, Scott Bakula here and ever since a time traveling acci- no, wait. This is Chris, and the Podcast is RoSC, 2.0. We have been gone for quite some time but I think it has been worth it. The podcast format has been drastically changed and enhanced. Instead of recording one giant podcast we travel the final frontier in the first ever warp capable sta- no wait, that's Scott Bakula again. To be honest I don't even know what the difference between myself and Scott Bakula really is.

The segments in this podcast include-

The reflection for this episode was: I'm stuck in the body of a 19th century noblewoman. Al you gotta help m- Damnit!

Violence in games is a huge topic in the media now, or at least in games media. Is there some validity to the claim? Is there something the gaming community could do to shine in this moment where politicians want to tarnish our medium? Should the government become involved? Is the ESRB enough? What changes do we need to make to ensure minors are not exposed to inappropriate material? What even is "Mature?"

So we finally did it. After scheduling conflicts, a botched Mayan apocalypse, and what can only be described as the worst water polo accident of 2012, we finally have our Game of the Year list. We at LevelSave have done our best to bring you our list with as much transparency and balance among the team as we could. Several team members (see: almost all) live in separate parts of the country(s) and so coming together to argue about videogames is not as simple as one might think.

So what we did was have every member send in their personal top 5, ordered from best to least best. Then through complicated mathematical jargon a list of the highest ranked and/or most mentioned were put into a list. The list of contenders are as follows-

Halo 4 The Walking Dead Mass Effect 3 XCOM Journey Borderlands 2 NBA 2K 13 Dust: AET FEZ

After the list was made a podcast was queued up in order to hash out the winners. In the end the podcast consisted of Barry, Taryn, Austin, and Myself. We trimmed down the list, ranked them in order, and nearly jumped through the internet to strangle one another. You can listen to the entire debate below, which I would suggest since I put quite some time into editing.
